In 2001, while serving in the Hawaii Air National Guard, I started working for ABM Onsite Services as the Administrative Assistant. In 2019, 2020 and 2021, IFSH was awarded the IREM Workplace Environment Award for exemplary practices in leadership development, employee engagement, corporate culture and wellness programs.

The market seemed crowded and our leadership position that had been built over many years seemed to not matter any more. Within a year, by late 2000 / early 2001 consulting firms were firing people en masse. On July 27th, 2001 Accenture IPO’s and many of the partners grew fabulously wealthy. I love that.

Within a few days of 11 September 2001, I purchased plane tickets for optional personal travel. Evan Nierman is the founder and CEO of Red Banyan , an international crisis public relations firm.
