But my take: Gaikai had superior technology & a superior business strategy. He talked in the video about how he finds it helpful in companies to think about practical theory and frameworks for thinking about company strategy. That let people play popular titles, for example, directly in Facebook. I agree with him.

It seems reasonable to assume that USV’s investment strategy (i.e., Amar Bhide, my former professor, wrote in Harvard Business Review, “ Strategy is Bunk.” He points out that Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs have virtually identical strategies. – Incubating companies. – Thoughtful fund management.

MySpace was incubated by a small team of employees within Intermix in 2003 (Chris DeWolfe, Tom Anderson and four others). The early history of MySpace is inextricably intertwined with that of Intermix, a small-cap publicly traded Internet company in Los Angeles where I worked as corporate counsel from 2004-06.
