Women founders looking to receive VC investment can take a number of steps to increase their chances in this seemingly hostile environment.

A willingness to take in others’ advice demonstrates adaptability and a willingness to include others in the success of the venture. It is also a great way to refine the business plan by aligning with the investors’ vision which may draw them in.
Seek out industry associations, taking advantage of community events such as conferences, workshops, training opportunities, and more. Seek out financial advice because it takes time to improve a score. Centers of Entrepreneurship often host workshops, conferences, competitions, and online training courses.
