and I thought if we brought the community together for common purpose we could create more of a sense of community to help new entrepreneurs get funded, assemble teams, raise profiles and help with biz dev, product, etc. Adam & I decided we wanted to return to our roots and focus on mentorship, which is our passion.

I refuse to go to demo days. Not just TechStars but any demo day, really. So I promised the guys that I would come and hang out with companies well before their demo days. I find no better way to get a feeling for local communities than to sit with a group of early-stage entrepreneurs and talking about the local scene.
