So as I get around the country speaking at college campus in 2010 & 2011 I have been preaching the same theme. But what I do see in the market in 2011 is way too many “me too&# solutions where a bunch of founders have brainstormed a way to do a better GroupOn, a better GiltGroupe, a better Twitter or a better Quora.

So I went to my google drive and searched and found the cap table that I had built for that post back in 2011, made a copy, made it public on the web but view only, and fixed the link.

I wish we had better policies to help those that weren’t born with the same educational backgrounds as I was since education seems to be the great divider in terms of future opportunities. Still, we are cutting back on public education. So that’s what’s on my mind this Independence Day 2011.
