The Series C was led by Japanese VC firm Incubate Fund, with additional investment from partnerships managed by Innovation Engine, funds managed by SBI Investment Co., Incubate Fund’s investments in ispace stretch back to the company’s seed round in 2014. Ispace’s total funding now stands at $195.5 million.

Perhaps I am an optimist, but I do not see the entrepreneurial spirit or sense of innovation dying out in our country.

I’ve been an EO member for 15 years, but it wasn’t until 2014 that I became involved with the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA). Instead of creating advertisements and posters, we reached out directly to 600-some contacts at universities and local incubators, and this paid huge dividends. We also scoured newsfeeds.
