Here’s the thing: If team members must run to leadership for every decision, productivity suffers and so does morale. Of course, there will be things that must be approved by leadership, so be crystal clear about those expectations. Offer new solutions and step up to leadership roles of their own. That fuels innovation.
My two favorite patterns are: The right mindset attracts the right network, and creates the right opportunities. They look at opportunities only as “investments” and never, ever as “costs.” I have found, as mindset evolves, so does one’s network, which leads to ever-increasing, awesome opportunities.
